11/06/09 Juliana

We got 11 hours of sleep last night and woke up feeling much better. We spent a little time with Juliana in the NICU early in the afternoon and came all the way home to rest and relax. Juliana had her PICC line installed today and they will begin using it as soon as they get a confirmation via x-ray that it was placed correctly. Once confirmed, they can remove her umbilical IVs that they have been using since she was born. She is getting some hydrocortisone intravenously to help keep her blood pressure up and to help her kidney function. Her urine output was a little low this morning, but has improved some this afternoon. They are keeping a close watch on her.

  1. I am so glad that Juliana is doing good. We will be praying for her all the time. Hopefully she will be strong enough to do Kangaroo Care soon. It is an awesome way to help your little one grow and thrive. There is a song by the Heritage Singers called, “For Those Tears I Died.” I love the words to it, and it has comforted me many times. I have it on CD. Maybe you could Google it if you get time.
Hope you have a restful Sabbath.
    Sincerely,
    Monica and Jeff Peeke

  2. Although I won’t make it into your heaven my prayers, thoughts and love are with you all. I, too, lost a son. It’s been 18 years and I will never quite recover. Jason, working with you was a joy and I will never forget it. My heart aches for your family right now.

  3. Miss Julianna Lu is praying for you, Juliana! (So is her Mama!) Just keep getting a little stronger every day!

  4. Jason and Jen, my thoughts are with you. I’ve been sending up many prayers as well. May God bless you three and give you peace.

  5. Stay strong Juliana! We are all praying for you!!! I’m sending you lots of and lots of love and prayers pretty girl.

  6. Our love and prayers go out to you. We will have our Prayer Warriors praying for Julianna’s continued strength and for the Comforter to continue to wrap around you and your families.

  7. Jen and Jason,
I know we haven’t been writing throughout this entire ordeal because honestly, I’m just been at a loss for words (can you belive that?!) I do want you all to know that our family and church have been and will continue to pray like crazy for all of you. If there is anything at all we can do for you, please don’t hesitate to ask. May God continue to give you and your precious little Julianna strength.
    Love,
Your MI cousins – Tim, Tracy, Timmy, and Ty.

  8. You all are in my prayers. I knew that you were expecting but had not heard what had happened until now. Hugs go out to you! I am sorry for the two you lost. Will pray for little Julianna to continue grow and get stronger.
    Much love,
    Joni

  9. I prayed for the triplets and am saddened to know that two have gone on to be with the Lord. I will continue to pray for Julianna. Although I do not know any of you, and have never lost a baby after birth, my heart is pained for your losses. I am especially moved to pray for you and your sweet baby because I am also expecting a baby girl in January whom we plan to name Juliana Marie. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.
    Sincerely,
    Christine
